With no player managing to take down the jackpot, it was the second tier prize level that gave EuroMillions participants the greatest cause to celebrate last night. There were 10 fortunate tickets that matched all five of the main numbers plus one of the Lucky Star numbers to win €162,679 / £112,865 each, and 19 tickets won €28,540 / £19,801 each after matching the five main numbers only. Over 2.92 million prizes were won in total, and you can see exactly how they were distributed across the various tiers by visiting the EuroMillions Results page at Euro-Millions.com.
Lottery players in Ireland were just five numbers away from landing themselves a very handy prize of €500,000 last night, but none of the tickets that had been entered for the game were able to match all of those numbers. There were 37 tickets that matched four of the numbers drawn to win a second tier prize of €2,000 each, and the smallest prize of €20 went to each of 1,882 tickets that matched three numbers.
There was a top prize of €17,283,821 up for grabs in the EuroJackpot game last night, and we are pleased to report that a single ticket matched all of the numbers required to win that sum. The winning ticket had been purchased in Croatia and the numbers it matched to succeed were 08, 18, 22, 33 and 40, along with the Euro numbers 02 and 08. Congratulations to the jackpot-winner and also to everyone who landed a consolation prize of some kind.
Attention is now turning to the jackpots that will be on offer this evening, and once again the Powerball game will dominate proceedings with a top prize worth $80 million. The UK Lotto game will offer a rollover jackpot worth around £6.8 million (as well as 100 Lotto Raffle prizes of £20,000 each) and over in Italy the SuperEnalotto jackpot will be worth around €24.3 million.
