The final 49-ball draw saw one player scoop a rollover jackpot of £3.3 million, with 50 ticket holders pocketing £20,000 each in the last ever Lotto Raffle. From Saturday, the supplementary game, into which players are automatically entered every time they play Lotto, will become Lotto Millionaire Raffle and will offer 20 prizes of £20,000 and one top tier award of £1 million. Saturday’s inaugural Lotto Millionaire Raffle draw will guarantee to make 25 millionaires, in celebration of the new game.
In addition, there will be a new prize tier created that will offer a Lotto Lucky Dip ticket to players who match just two main numbers and the four-rollover limit will be scrapped, allowing the top prize to rise up to a cap of £50 million!
The last big changes to Lotto came in October 2013, when the £10 prize for matching three main numbers was raised to £25, the ticket price increased to £2 from £1 and Lotto Raffle was introduced.
Lotto tickets for Saturday’s £4.5 million jackpot draw are on sale now online and from authorised retailers across the UK. Good luck!
