SuperEnalotto Jackpot of €93.7 Million Won in Mestrino

A spirit of celebration has engulfed Mestrino in Padua after one lucky player matched all six main SuperEnalotto numbers on Saturday 25th February, to win a phenomenal jackpot of €93.7 million. The top prize had not previously been won since a ticket holder from Vibo Valentia claimed €163.5 million on 27th October last year.

The numbers drawn on Saturday night were 11, 17, 40, 69, 84 and 85, with Jolly 82 and SuperStar 62. There were over 500,000 participants in total who picked up prizes, but the glory belonged to the single player who scooped the jackpot. It was the largest lottery prize available anywhere in the world over the weekend, and the seventh biggest SuperEnalotto jackpot ever given away.

The winning ticket was sold at the small ‘Moreno Market’ store in Mestrino, and the owners were over the moon to have played their part in a moment of SuperEnalotto history. Michael Moreno, who runs the store with his parents, told reporters: “There are so many regular players here. The faces are all known. I hope that the payout will solve some problems if the winner has any. Then if he likes me, I’m here.”

The SuperEnalotto jackpot will now reset to €11.9 million for the next draw on Tuesday night, giving players across Italy the chance to make it two in a row and become the second jackpot winner of 2017. The game can be played online as well as from authorised retailers in Italy.
