EuroMillions Winner
Beverley Doran had not been able to work for two years as two of her children were diagnosed with autism, and she had been claiming benefits ever since. After matching the winning numbers 19, 25, 33, 36 and 48 with Lucky Stars 2 and 9 in Friday’s EuroMillions draw, she will now be able to move them out of their council house and into a home of their own. Beverley even admitted she had already started house hunting online over the weekend.
She told the assembled reporters at a hotel that “my head was spinning and nothing made any sense” on learning about her win. “I tried to call my mum but she was in the shower,” she continued, “it was like a rollercoaster and still is to be honest.”
Lotto Winners
Meanwhile, best pals Paula Barraclough and Lorraine Smith were attending a press conference in Durham to talk about their Lotto success. Lorraine recalled that she only bought the ticket because she had sought warmth in a Sunderland newsagent’s shop after her bus failed to turn up. However, there was no doubt that she would split the win with Paula, as the pair always played their favourite lottery games together.
The friends, known as Polly and Lolly, have a collective shopping list that ranges from a new frying pan to a holiday to Las Vegas, all of which are now well within their grasp after they successfully matched 11, 13, 21, 37, 49 and 59 on Saturday night.
You can play EuroMillions and Lotto online or by buying tickets from authorised retailers, with the next jackpots worth £24 million and £2 million respectively.
