Although no player was able to win the EuroMillions jackpot, one ticket picked up a massive consolation prize worth €1,515,237 at the second tier by matching all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars. Six tickets matched five main numbers only to win a third tier prize worth £58,982 (€84,179) each, and there were exactly ten times as many winners at the fourth tier, where the prize for matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars was £2,949 (€4,208). The exact number of prizes won in the Friday EuroMillions game was 2,330,242, and you can see the full schedule of sums paid at each level by visiting the EuroMillions Results page at Euro-Millions.com.
Irish Lottery players who had been hoping to win a top prize of €500,000 in the EuroMillions Plus game last night were disappointed, but there were quite a few consolation prizes landed. A second tier prize of €2,000 went to each of 43 tickets that matched four of the numbers drawn, and 1,978 tickets matched three numbers to win €20 each.
Whilst the highest level of success eluded players in the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus games, the jackpot was much more cooperative in the EuroJackpot game. One ticket matched all five main numbers (09, 28, 36, 42 and 43) as well as both Euro numbers (02 and 08) to win €28,207,474, and we can report that the winning ticket had been purchased by a player in Slovenia. Over 518,000 tickets won a consolation prize of some kind, and the next game on Friday 23rd May will offer a brand new jackpot worth €10 million.
