The first jackpot win of 2014 was shared by two tickets that had been purchased in France and Spain, so this second win of the year is also the second success for a French player. There were two tickets that matched all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Star numbers to win a second tier prize worth €917,680 / £666,220 each, and 12 tickets won €50,982 each by matching the five main numbers without either Lucky Star. More than 3.16 million prizes were won at the lower levels, and you can see the full breakdown of those by visiting the EuroMillions Results page over at Euro-Millions.com.
The EuroMillions Plus game didn’t help any player to increase their wealth by the maximum possible €500,000 because no ticket was able to match all five of the numbers that were drawn. On a more positive note, 63 players won themselves €2,000 each by matching four number and 2,556 tickets matched three numbers to land the smallest prize of €20 each.
The EuroJackpot results last night were 12, 17, 29, 39 and 40, along with the Euro numbers 05 and 06. The jackpot weighed in at an impressive €13 million, but none of the tickets entered for the game managed to win that prize, so it rolled over and will help the jackpot value in the next game to be worth around €15 million. A single ticket matched the five main numbers as well as one Euro number to land a prize worth €380,757 at the second tier, and over 353,000 tickets won smaller prizes.
Congratulations to the French EuroMillions winner and to everyone else who landed a lottery prize on Friday night. Players can now have a go at getting the new month of February off to a winning start by participating in the lottery games this evening. Good luck to those of you who will be taking part, and check back tomorrow for our round-up of the results!
