Irish Lottery officials confirmed yesterday that the jackpot winning ticket was purchased from Reddan’s Store and Post Office in Sixmilebridge, County Clare. This latest win comes just four months after another resident of the county picked up the €8.3 million top prize from the draw on 5th March. Last year also saw two County Clare players hit the jackpot with a player from Limerick taking a €6 million jackpot in August 2013 and a couple from Quin celebrating a €5.5 million win in November. It looks as if County Clare is the place to be if you want to win the Irish Lotto!
The owners of Reddan’s shop, Patsy and Tony Reddan, have said that although the shop has enjoyed a number of smaller lottery wins, Saturday’s prize is the shop’s first ever jackpot win. Locals have been flocking to Reddan’s to see if they hold the all-important winning ticket ever since lottery officials revealed where the winning €4.4 million ticket was sold.
While the retailer’s location is now widely known, the actual winner has yet to come forward. If you purchased an Irish Lotto ticket from Reddan’s shop for last Saturday’s draw, now is the time to dig out your ticket and find out if you are the winner of this life-changing top prize!
The winning numbers from Saturday’s draw were 10, 18, 23, 26, 42 and 45 with Bonus Ball 13.
