Prizes for the draw, which will take place on Saturday 27th May 2017, were announced by lottery operator Ithuba via Twitter, following months of speculation. In addition to the 12 prizes of R1 million, a further 1,530 ticket holders will have the chance to win sums of R100,000, R10,000 or R1,000.
This will be the second Raffle draw of its kind following the game’s debut on Friday 30th December. During the first draw, ticket holders had the opportunity to win one of 1,545 cash prizes, ranging from R1,000 to R100,000, while 15 lucky players each walked (or drove) away with a brand new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet.
Tickets for May’s extravaganza go on sale on Sunday 26th March, with sales closing at 8:30 pm on the day of the draw. The draw itself will take place on Saturday 27th May at 9:30 pm with the winning ticket numbers being published upon conclusion. As with all Ithuba lottery games, players must be over the age of 18.
With the Raffle draw still some weeks away, players still have the opportunity to win big this week by taking part in one of the country’s other lottery games, including Lotto, Powerball and Pick 3.
