It’s fair to say that 2016 hasn’t been the greatest year on record for a number of reasons, but the UK’s National Lottery is helping to make its end that little bit better for a few hundred people by offering up a slew of cash prizes across its 24th and 31st December draws.
Lotto players in the UK are immediately entered into the Lotto Millionaire Raffle whenever they purchase a ticket for the regular draw, receiving a unique raffle code for every line they play. Ordinarily, one prize of £1 million and 20 prizes of £20,000 are guaranteed in each Lotto Raffle draw, but the special Lotto Christmas Raffle will see an additional 200 prizes of the latter won on Christmas Eve, followed by another 100 on New Year’s Eve.
This is far from the first time that The National Lottery has added extra prizes to mark a special occasion. When changes were made to the EuroMillions draw in September this year, a special jackpot prize of £100 million was put up for grabs, and in August, the same lottery gave away 27 prizes of £1 million to celebrate every gold medal won by the British Olympic team at the Rio Olympic Games.
With no additional effort required of UK Lotto players in order to be in with a chance of winning one of the festive prizes, this and next Saturday’s draws are a no-brainer for any lottery fan, based in the UK or otherwise. Visit the Tickets page now to learn more about taking part.
